Overview:
The Rogue Prince of Persia is an action-platformer roguelite. You play as a prince on a quest to save Persia from a Hun invasion. Death isn’t the end, but an opportunity to learn and become stronger. The game features colorful art and fast-paced, acrobatic combat, and each run through the cursed capital of Ctesiphon offers fresh challenges.
What is The Rogue Prince of Persia?
This is a new journey in Amazing Edit as it brings together the unique parkour movement of Prince of Persia with a roguelite structure. Our prince has a magical medallion that will return him to a hub whenever he dies; however, he will also use the knowledge gained and skills acquired to learn how to overcome the various challenges of defeating the invading forces in a beautifully stlylied world.
Gameplay:
The gameplay emphasizes fluidity of movement and responsive melee combat. You will run on walls, vault over enemies, and dodge attacks. Combat is melee-focused and relies on your skillful handling of dual weapons and a kick ability to manage groups of enemies. Each attempt is a little different because of procedurally generated levels and the weapons and boons available to you.
Death is a central mechanic in Lifelike. Every time you die, you will return to your camp to upgrade your permanent abilities and purchase new starting gear. This creates a loop that becomes a cycle of steady progress, so that each run becomes easier than the last. You learn enemy patterns and level layouts, and put that knowledge to use so that you go deeper into the city on each subsequent attempt.
